Data Processing Engineer
About the job
As a data processing engineer you work in a team that designs, develops and validates advanced signal and data processing algorithms for our radar and electro-optical systems. The activities of this team are related to both R&D and product development for deployment of algorithms within our systems. The team that you will be part of specifically deals with the tracking, classification and prediction of objects. Tracking or dynamic state estimation is an important element of sensor processing and can be described as ‘the processing of sensor measurements obtained from objects in order to estimate the states of these objects’. As a team, we are continuously improving our sensor processing to maintain the leading position of Thales in the Defence and Security sector.
As team member, you are responsible for developing and implementing algorithms for various sensors and systems. Activities include amongst others:
- Degree in engineering or science (mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or similar)
- Affinity with algorithm development and statistics is preferred
- Knowledge of Matlab and C is preferred
- Team player with communication skills and able to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Fluency in spoken and written Dutch and English
