Based at our Darwin site, this full time permanent role is to support the Armidale Class Patrol Boat development and maintenance activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from some of the very best in the industry with genuine career growth prospects.
- Fabrication of all types of work from drawings or samples in various types of materials
- Providing efficient and timely fabrication services to the customer with a degree of autonomy
- Willingness to undertake multi skilled activities in all aspects of ship repair
- Familiar with all welding processes and the ability to work with different types of materials
- Comply with all Thales OHS&E policies and procedures
- You will hold a Trade Qualification: Certificate III – Engineering Fabrication, or higher
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and within a multi-resources and discipline team..
The position is dependent on the candidate eligibility to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.
The suitable candidate needs to be ITARS cleared; therefore Thales needs to know if you hold any passport other than Australian, or have dual citizenship.
You will also need to successfully clear a pre-employment medical and police check.
